people ask you why you are a vegan and you ramble for for thirty minutes….and that’s only about the health benefits
…you don’t bother going to any of the free programs at your college/university dorm because you won’t be able to eat any of the food.
you think you will never get sick because you are vegan and when you do you are like…”well…fuck…WHERE DID MY VEGAN POWERS GO?!”
coconut products have become the latest trend in your diet
“OH…right…you’re a Vegan”
You spend more on vet bills than you do on human medical bills.
no vegan is not synonymous with ‘better than you’ or ‘privileged’.
you ‘follow’ people just because they are vegan.
yesterday-was-tuesday-too asked: Don't strike me as ignorant because I try not to be, but how is regular milk not vegan? I mean cows are just milked, what's so terrible about that? I actually did some research and cows apparently experience uncomfortable pressures and such when they're not milked for long periods of time so...
Well naturally Cows, similarly to humans, begin to lactate after they give birth to a child. Their child, when not used for veal or raising, would then drink the milk taking the uncomfortable pressure off.
Humans milk cows for their profit. Not because we have a survival instinct to. After one-years-old, the human being has no need for human breast milk, no less COWS breast milk.
Drinking cow’s milk is a tradition, and a bad one at that.
Anything that comes from an animal isn’t vegan. Because anything that comes from an animal isn’t willingly given. Because animals can’t give consent, and naturally they wouldn’t. It’s not natural for them to give their precious milk away and leave their babies with none. We are impinging on their freedom and natural way of life—NOT fulfilling our own. It’s not natural for us either.
